Class D & G Security Guard Training

To work as armed security in Florida, students are required to complete the Florida Statewide Firearms License course. The Florida D & G Licenses are the required training courses you must complete to work as an unarmed or armed security guard.

To apply for any armed security jobs, you must already have the Florida security D license. Trinity Force Protection offers the Class D & G security license course in Key West Florida covering Key West to Miami, Florida. Our Florida firearms school offers a full range of security guard training.

Trinity Force Protection in conjunction with Florida Keys Community College (FKCC) schedules monthly classes for both, which includes 40 hours of training for unarmed security and 28 hours of class room training and range time for the armed security class.

Completion of the course and successful completion of the required testing will provide the student with ability to acquire both State of Florida D & G Security Guard licenses.

G Course Qualification
Armed security officers and private investigators that posses a Class G license can only carry the firearm they qualified with during range day of G course.
Example- A security officer that only qualified with a revolver cannot carry a semi-automatic while on duty.
Trinity Force Protection Training offers students the ability to qualify with both weapons systems. Students MUST show the capability of qualifying with both weapon systems during firearms classroom training and time permitted.
Students that pass the final exam and range qualification will be given a certificate of completion to provide to the state when they apply for the Class “G” Statewide Firearms license and will also receive a certificate of completion for the concealed weapon or firearm license (CCW Permit).
